I love a bit of good tailoring...

Being an hourglass shape, I often find that getting clothing that isn't custom made but fits me properly is nigh on impossible- more so with trousers or fitted skirts. I have to go up three sizes and belt it! & my friends always laugh at the bulge I have in the crotch area where the material gathers- I usually just brush it off though by telling them that I'm just very happy to see them.

What's annoying is that from what I've seen in the British high street, their clothes seem to be made for more model-esque figers and they rarely cater for girls of shape which is really annoying! Because someone could have reasonably small frames but still have shape, but I guess we're a minority! (Although saying that, they're getting quite good at making ranges for bigger sizes like a lot of stores do a 12-24 range which I think is awesome for those women, because everyone deserves clothes that git to help them look good!)

But anyways, the way I get around this is through TAILORING!! :-D
Now I don't know about you, but I love the look of a well cut blazer, or pair of trousers or a nice fitting dress- it's sexy, feminine and classy-everything a woman should be! I personally usually wear something fitted with maybe something a little loose too- unless it's a dress!

Here's some of the stuff I've seen that I like! When it's summer and I'm not at VI form doing exams and shit, I'll post some of my own clothes and outfits as I'll have some more time but in the meantime, here's a few things I like!
Pretty right? :-)

I could really go on! But that's enough for now- you get a rough idea!

So, if like me you can hardly ever find anything- tailoring is your best friend! Also a lot of the time, particularly with trousers like chinos they make them so that it's smaller at the hips and larger in the thigh/butt area and smaller again at calves to create a sillouhette for smaller people but for people like me, they fit like normal trousers! xD

Even if you are a little more volumptuous or just bigger, clothes that fit well are key! Because in my opinion,  if you wear on clothes that are too big or baggy they'll make you look frumpy and bigger than you are!

Also, if your difference isn't quite as bad as 3 sizes, a tip a friend suggested is high waisted trousers and jeans cause they're smaller but they allow for a little leeway but personally, the ones I've tried are still a little baggy the waist/hips.

Tailoring obviously isn't just for people that are curvier or bigger people though, it's universal which is why I love it! It gives shape when you're more petite or not quite curvy, and if you are a curvy girl, it enhances your shape. In fact I envy the girls with slim thighs and smaller butts cause they can get really nice trousers and skinny jeans that fit really nicely! (OH speaking of skinny jeans, some also really good for hour glasses cause they don't flare out at the bottom like most jeans- but the waist gather still happens ¬_¬) You're not  limited as much your choice of trousers which is awesome!

Anyways, this is getting awfully long, so I'll end it here! ;-)

Till next time,

Lurrrve and virtual hugs,

Dalanda! :-) xxx

P.S- This isn't as bad as usual, but you can kinda see what  I mean - it gathers a lot and is baggy in places. ¬_¬
