So now that this is February... The month of lurrrveee! - of every kind, there is love all around us... Love for our surroundings, family, friends, or lovers. But if you are without any one or a few of these things, know that you're still loved. There is love within the universe and within you... Love yourself & others, it'll fall into place. Trust, believe, let go... Surrender to the power of love!
Ahh, in true Dalanda form, I've gone off on a tangent on one word, but if something comes to me, I guess it must be that I have to share it, someone that's reading this needs to see it!
Anywho, in the spirit of love, a fellow blogger Star nominated me for a blogger award! I'm so grateful! And you should totally check her blog out! (Just click on her name) I'm super glad that we stumbled across one another she has an amazing spirit!
In the spirit of love and appreciation I'm also nominating her for a Liebster blog award (and not just cause its compulsory!)
The Liebster Award Rules
Thank the person who nominated you, and post a link to their blog on your blog.
Display the award on your blog — by including it in your post and/or displaying it using a “widget” or a “gadget”. (Note that the best way to do this is to save the image to your own computer and then upload it to your blog post.)
Answer 11 questions about yourself, which will be provided to you by the person who nominated you.
Provide 11 random facts about yourself.
Nominate 5 – 11 blogs that you feel deserve the award, who have a less than 1000 followers. (Note that you can always ask the blog owner this since not all blogs display a widget that lets the readers know this information!)
Create a new list of questions for the blogger to answer.
List these rules in your post (You can copy and paste from here.) Once you have written and published it, you then have to:
Inform the people/blogs that you nominated that they have been nominated for the Liebster award and provide a link for them to your post so that they can learn about it (they might not have ever heard of it!)
11 random facts about me:
1. I have a sense of humour described by some as 'delightfully silly' and to others (me) friggin stupid. I usually laugh at things I shouldn't.
2. Speaking of laughter my laugh is SO stupid and embarassing. I hate it and I'm trying to change it but I can't. :-/ it's the kind of laugh I either get dirty looks for or have people stop laughing at the joke and start laughing at my laugh for. I hate to laugh in public. My teacher even told her husband about my laugh- how embarassing!!
3. I have misophonia (search it). If people chew, breathe, burp (amongst other things) noisily (but I have pretty sensitive hearing) or repetitively, I go insane- not that I tell them but I'll be going insane inside. I usually prefer to eat alone.
4. I'm mainly an introvert but I can be an extrovert too. I like being with the right people
5. I love trying different foods and experiencing different cultures.
6. I have a huge love for the arts and anything inspired by passion or something strong. My favorite movement is the Romantic. To me it was more than a literary movement.
7. I try my hand at classical singing and sing a bit of opera. I have to sing some as part of the performance section of my Music Advanced level. Ugh. I don't like performing at all. I do it for me not anyone else & I'm shy.
8. I have a bad habit of randomly bursting into song as my friends always say- Gosh Dalanda, you have a song for everything! I also make strange noises (and facial expressions) sometimes.
9. I'm random as hell and say really weird things sometimes.
10. I love animals and at one point if you are friends with me you'll probably hear me say I want to be a goat herder.
11. I use sarcasm a lot in my humour or if someone has said something stupid.
12. I can't dance for shit but sometimes I make random movements and claim to be dancing.
My questions from Star
1. What was your goal when you first started blogging?
- I don't think I had one to be honest... I started my blogger account when I was 13 or so... (It was called rants about cheese amongst other things- I'm pretty shitty at thinking account names up) my friend started hers up and I thought hey, maybe I'll give it another shot- this was when I was 17 around Easter time. I guess I use it now to share things I like, or find interesting, occasionally rant and also put across messages I feel guided to share. It's weird, since I've started blogging I feel really guided to share some things so I guess people reading this must need to read, see or hear some things.
2. First Word?
-The name of the ladies' son who my parents paid to look after
3. (As a fantasy writer, I MUST ASK- !) What fantasy book, film, game or otherwise do you like best (or which one are you most familiar with?) :D
- I'm not really into fantasy, not because I think it's bad, but because I've never gotten into it. Honestly my favourite kind of fantasy stuff is fantasy artwork- like some of the crazy stuff I post here. It's amazing, like it's not even 'fantasy' but a different dimension or plane of existence that the artist has entered in their mind and translated on the page. I also like fantasy, surreal type New Age music. :-)
4. Aaaand favourite book in general? (Includes non-fiction, mangas and comics. ANYTHING.
-Ahhhhhh you can't ask me this!!! It's just not possible to pick ONE. Errrm I like Love in the time of cholera by Marquez, perfume by Süsskind, The Woodlanders by Thomas Hardy (Marty T_T), The Kite Runner by Hosseini, TFIOS by John Green, Ruby red by Linzi Glas, Looking for JJ by Anne Cassidy, Gatsby by Fitzgerald... I could go on.... And poetry. Oh gosh. Let me just stop here.
5. What's something you thought was true as a child, and now know it isn't?
- My hair is a bitch to deal with and I have a sensitive scalp- not sensitivity to products but pain-well, I'm sensitive in general and it used to hurt a lot when my mum did my hair and I never sat still. I've not had braids in years now cause I hated the pain. My mum told me if I sat still & behaved my hair would go like those girls on the container of the products. I'm still waiting...
6. Who is your favourite music artist?
- Seriously Star?? I can't pick one. Not at all the list is too long and I like whatever moves me. I listen to most things, even if I dislike a song, I always find something about it I like- be it the base line, or chord changes, or harmonies...
I love film music and currently I'm listening to ecstasy of gold by morricone
7. Earth, Air, Water, Fire - which one describes you the most and why?
- I can't pick one!! I'm Taurus an Earth sign and I think I'm quite an earthy person. I'm also very sensitive, I've mostly got my head in the clouds and I'm water like, I'm firey too cause I think I'm very passionate and when I feel, I feel things strongly it's always like a fire within me. Meh I don't identify with air much, air signs piss me off. They're not stable but my mind races and bounces from one to thing to another like air.
8. What's your favourite public holiday or time of year?
-Christmaaassss time, everyone is nice, happy, excited & giving. There's an atmosphere of love and the coldness, hymns, carols, lights, smells, decorations and Christmas foods are magical. Ugh, I want Stollen & glühwein.
9. What is a talent you are proud of and a talent you wish you had?
- A talent I'm proud of is my intuition and hyper-sensitivity it's a bitch mostly as people are so damn negative however it enables me to feel people, even those far away from me and it helps me to do things like decipher if I can trust someone or not... energies will remain and I pick up on them whether I want to or not. A talent I wish I had is self-confidence, it doesn't seem like one to some people but I believe it is. Self mastery is a talent and achievement in itself.
10. If you became a millionaire tomorrow, actually TODAY, what's the first thing you would do?
- The first thing I would do is go YAAY I'm a millionaire. :-D
11. Finally - what thing, person or experience makes you extremely happy? Really! =D
- People that are kind and loving like you, Star make me happy.
Food. Good food. I don't like eating much but I love food.
A thing/person (I don't know) that makes me happy and is also my muse. It's a feeling but I feel it's like a human energy that's very intense. It feels like someone watching over me- not creepy like standing over my bed, every breath you take but someone passively looking out for me and it makes me feel inspired. Maybe it's God, maybe God is my muse. xD feel free to call me crazy, I guess I don't see things, I feel them. Maybe one day it'll find me. I really hope so. This energy helps complete me.
I don't follow any blogs that fit the criteria but Stars' :-( I only really use my blog to post anyways. Alas I shall create 12 questions anyways and maybe anyone who wants to answer can.

P.S- sorry this took so long star, my laptop is broken, I was using my phone and iPad and it kept messing up.
Great answers! This was really interesting. Misophonia! Oh my gosh. That must be tough. Seems like you developed a way of dealing with it though! I like the Romantic era too! I chose that module to study at university. Aw! It's nice that you sing. I like singing, although I also do it only for me. Hahaa, I also have a song for everything. It's so much fun.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that you said that! I feel like fantasy can be in your life in subtle ways, and fantasy artwork is something I really love as well. I won't go into some of the stuff with towers and dragons or whatever but I think you might like Josephine Wall's work because she's more 'surreal', or you may know of her already.
I know. Haha. ONE book is hard to pick! Wow, I read a lot of the ones from your list. Cool. =) My hair hurt when my Mum did it as well. OMG your Mum said that! Woooow what a thing to tell a kid! That is kinda funny c: Hahaha I know! A few music artists is fine :3 I love movie soundtracks too. You could post the other blogs anyway ;) Sure, I'll answer you questions! Will have to be another day though, as I'm very tired! Great stuff.
