I completely agree and I think it's advice everyone needs in their lives.
Know when someone is a write-off, and don't be afraid to actually write them off. Keeping one sided relationships of any kind can have no positive effects... (Other than maybe the relief that comes after the pain once you've learnt your lesson- which you can now avoid)
It is not everyone that will gift you with true kindness so be grateful and cherish the ones that do. At the same time careful and don't encourage the wrong people/ opportunists or you could really get burned.
Luckily, you've it's been warned! :-D It's easier said than done, but it's much harder having people treat you like shit.
