There are three shields we use to protect ourselves from vulnerability: 
Perfectionism (doing everything perfectly);

Numbing (using alcohol, drugs, food or work to deaden true feeling); 

'Foreboding joy’, the dread that kills happiness.

Why are we so afraid to be scared and take the risks to secure our happiness?

Let go. And do something that scares you. You'll be happy. Finally.

Why do you fear failure?? 

Don't daydream, put it into action and make it true. 

Act like you have nothing to lose (you kinda don't) and you'll be left wih everything to gain.
