Fate has more or less dissolved, and that is because of free will.

It annoys me when people are lazy, live on their fear, or become passive about their dreams in the hope that 'if it's meant to be, it will be'. That's bullshit.

Not everything is handed to you on a silver platter you know. Nothing in life is easy. You're here on this earth to learn lessons, to grow, to accomplish things, etcetera. Where's the learning and growing in getting everything handed to you?

We still have a choice on what path we take- even outside influences can come into effect and tamper with our path, and of course we can walk away from our fate.

The fated opportunities are handed or presented to us, but that does not mean we are going to 100% take it and follow our fate just cause it's shown to us. We have FREE WILL so if it's meant to be, opportunities will present themselves in a myriad of ways and we grab them to make it be. But it doesn't necessarily mean we will, and so if things are meant to be, that doesn't always mean they will be as it's up to us.

We are ultimately in charge of our own lives, we are in the driving seat. The universe can nudge and whisper directions to us, but we don't have to listen as we're in the driving seat and we are ultimately in charge of where our car is headed to- be it the Oasis of dreams, love, and happiness that the universe, your guides and intuition will lead you to, or the fountain of despair next to the waterfall of regret right by the river of hopelessness.

It's all in our hands and fate doesn't mean much anymore because we have the power. We can be fated in this life to be a prime minister, win a gold medal, marry the person of our dreams, etc. but that doesn't mean it's definitely going to happen because you might stay at home all the time, not talk to people, not be motivated, not believe in yourself, be too scared, etc and you miss opportunities and run from what is your fate.

Or fate can give you opportunities or openings and you simply become too scared to follow them, or you're too mistrustful in yourself and in your path and you think maybe it's not for you, or you'll do it your way. (Which never works out well. Ever. We don't know better than God, the Universe, our higher selves, angels, or whatever you believe in)

In which case, you made something that was meant to be or even presented to you not be. And ironically, the ones who turn their back on fated opportunities the most are the ones who live by 'if it's meant to be, it will be' in order to justify their fear to follow fate and trust themselves, or to have some hope to compensate for the regret or guilt of those opportunities they've lost.

So, "if it's meant to be it'll be"? Well,  that's up to you.

We are masters of our own fate.
