Friday...

Hello m'dears :-)

I hope this post finds you well and happy,  I'm sending you lots of love, hugs, light and good vibes! If you're not feeling good, I'm sending you double good vibes!!

I had a pretty eventful weekend, so I thought I'd share a bit of it with you.

On Friday, I went to the first show of the German band Tokio Hotel's feel it all European tour in London.

For some reason or another they were running behind & so we were left outside ages & the show didn't actually start until one and a half hours after the doors were meant to open (they opened about 30 or 45 minutes late, I thought Germans were very punctual and efficient but I've now had that stereotype disproved in the most inconvenient way)

The band put great emphasis on how the gig will be intimate, hot & sweaty & I was unaware the venue had cloakrooms. I hate being sweaty so I came in high waisted jeans, a sleeveless crop top and a thin oversized blazer with no lining & a bag, which broke because people were pulling on it during the show (I have to go to a leather specialist now- don't go to concerts with designer bags on guys >.>). I was freeeeezing until we got inside. Seriously, I was like omg, I'm going to die. Hypothermia. Pls. Help.

The actual show was pretty good though. Bill's outfits were so cool! Georg's shirt had a cool neon pattern, I couldn't see Gustav's outfit & Tom may want to reconsider his poncho... It's way too hot on stage for that!

Some of the crowd were a bit annoying though. These people kept pushing me and this psychotic bitch started shouting at me like NO. I HAVE BEEN HERE SINCE TEN AM. YOU WILL NOT PUSH IN FRONT OF ME. STOP PUSHING ME etc, and being so fucking rude, I've never wanted to backhand somebody so badly in a very long time. Not to mention this girl had 5 concert tickets and two meet and greets and she knew I had just the one - I wasn't pushing in or even trying to get to the front but if I was, out of principle she should of been less selfish because she has more opportunities than I do. But anyways, rant over. Some people are arseholes, such is life. I hope she had a nice time.

The show was quite short, considering how much we paid (all together almost £70 because of postage and booking fees) and how much concert tickets are for other bands or artists I'd have liked more music but maybe they cut it short because they were late- but that's not our problem, the setlist shouldn't suffer. I won't complain too much though because what we did see was good, and they played some older songs which was great! It was almost like we didn't completely miss out on the other tours that never reached  London because there were some throwbacks mixed in with the newer stuff and I was singing along with everyone, it was a good laugh. Also, top tip- eat properly before going to a gig! I didn't have time to and I wanted to pass out. Other than that they weren't lying about it being intimate, the venue was probably the same size as my old secondary school hall, so you were close even if you weren't 'close'. They probably didn't see us, but we had a good view of them which was nice. Between asking the Lord for some patience before I backhand someone, and trying not to pass out, I had a great time and took some great pictures and videos *_*. My very long arms came in useful for once.

The big adventure was at the end of the concert, lmao. I was going to just leave but I know someone that lives all the way in Oklahoma and she wanted me to get the band's autograph so being a good friend, I tried. I really did, I didn't even have a jacket on or anything but I braved it and tried (I didn't expect to get any autographs so all I had in my bag was a purple biro, lmao), I was inside for a bit, but at the end of it I only got Gustav's autograph... I was too shy to talk to him properly or start a conversation or tell him that he drummed really well (because he did) though. I regret not saying thanks for the concert, it was a really good show and he's so good at drumming but I just blanked out because I'm a shy person (even if you think I don't look it, I'm dying inside!!), I embarrass easily  and I never go up to people so it was a huge step for me and I did it wrong lmao. I feel so bad & embarrassed about it! But it should be a reminder to me that if I ever feel like being brave, I should stop myself because shit like that happens, lmao. I also saw the verrrry blond guy with blond eyebrows that sometimes plays with the band and many times but I figured she wouldn't want his autograph so I didn't ask him.

Anyways, I went back outside and waited for them to come out, which they did... At 1:30am and they walked straight into the bus without stopping. I know they were running late etc but the bus was there for some time afterwards so if they wanted to, they could have signed stuff I think. Especially considering people were waiting in the cold for like three hours and trains stop at around midnight in London (I was near the venue tho' so I didn't need a train which is why I braved it and stayed even though finding a cab afterwards was shit, I was outside the venue for ages) they could have maybe signed some autographs? I dunno, I told my friend and apologised and she was like maybe it's cause you didn't have a package - Then I remembered there were VIP  packages on sale for up to over £1000.

I'm not sure I entirely agree with that though if I'm being honest. I don't think it's fair that the person who has more money or rich parents should get a better experience than those which don't, or you should spend money that you don't really have because it's really important to see a band that means a lot to you... It's really sad actually and on the one hand, signing after the concert is unfair for the people that did sacrifice (or not) and pay that money to meet them and get a signed poster, but on the other hand the people that weren't lucky enough to be able to afford it should have had the chance to at least get something signed or a closer picture of them because it's not the same as a meet and greet or Q&A experience but it's something for them and experience which they might need. I understand tours are super expensive, but if one needs to take that much money from people, they might want to budget a bit  better or make more competitions so more people have a chance and they don't always have to pay bigger amounts.

It's limiting to charge people more than usual because in charging more all one does is limit new or potential fans because I don't know if there's many people that would spend almost  £70 on an artist they don't know that well or like a lot. I asked some of my friends  if they wanted to come with me- including rich ones and they were like I'm not spending that much. But maybe this will change for later concerts, it's better to cut back and sell more  and to a wider range in my opinion. Some artists like Lilly Allen for example put out her new album for £1 on iTunes and loads of people bought it and it became number one and most purchased and she got loads of exposure. People downloaded it because it was cheap, but they liked it. Risky but clever, and I do like Lilly (I remember when she first came out and I was 12) but I feel like if she had put it out at a normal album price it'd have not sold as well. I'm not suggesting this band or any artist do exactly the same but it's an example of how in asking for more, you can end up with less, but of course these are just my thoughts and opinions, I'm not that well versed in this area so I can't speak too much.

Personally, I'm not hugely fussed that I didn't get all the autographs as I'm not that hardcore (I'm a hardcore friend tho) but I didn't like how we were treated and I could have gone to a meet and greet but I thought it would be awkward as they always look it and I should save the opportunity for the fans that may need or want it more than me. For me personally seeing them live & enjoying the music was great, and I remember some time ago I was asked if I'd seen them live and I was like no, then I complained that they never came to London, but I wanted to see them and this tour they came to London, so even though I'm not in London at the moment I knew I had to come down and see it! Everyone was shocked they came to London AND they opened the tour here. Clearly London is a very special city- I love it so much! (I'm also going to ignore the fact that it makes geographical sense to either stop or start in the UK because it's an Island and just pretend that it's because we are amazing over there- well I don't have to pretend because we are, haha).

I won't lie tho' and I have to admit that there are three other band members that I am really quite sad I didn't get to meet. Pumba, Buddy & Tom's boy <\3

Despite my grievances, as I said I enjoyed the show and I won't lie, if I could I would go again. It's a thumbs up from me! ;-)

If you can, go see them :-)

Gosh, I was going to write about the opera I saw on Saturday at the Royal Opera House but I think I'll do that in another post because this is becoming too long, so keep your eyes peeled for that! It was such a cleverly written script, I can't wait to write about it, but I'll leave this post here...

Love, light, blessings and healing to you all! Take care, be good and don't be an arsehole!

All my love,

-Dalanda
xoxoxo

I lost a bet. So here's a stupid picture Ama took of me trying to pull up my jeans when I got back from the concert, I'm wearing her hat which looks beautiful and stunning on her instead of me, I love her so much and admire her and think of her everyday and dream of her every night. Apparently. According to her.
Ahem.

But srsly tho, these jeans are loose in the wrong places >_>

I quite like the hat though :-( even though I've not worn it out, it's my fave colour, let me know what you think!- honestly. You can do it on my ask if you so it's anonymous in case you think it looks bad, let me because I'm thinking of getting one and I don't want to look silly.

http://ask.fm/dee2504  Or ask me anything, questions are fun xD

Here are some actual concert-related pictures I took!

A plus is that I got to see some friends I had met through the band again.

This girl is lovely :-))

Anyone that knows me knows that I LOVE milchschnitte and Susi from THUKST got me some because she knows how much I love it!! I could cry right now, omg. She's a total babe!!

Poor security guy, the screaming girls became too much for his ears...

GD :-)
